| I happened across
a whole case of these and had them lying around. |
|
| I first took 4 CD
cases and glued them together in the shape of a toe pincher coffin. I used alot of glue to fill in the gaps. Next I cut a dowel rod in half , measured out 16 pieces and glued them to the cases to cover up the joints. I then stained them. |
|
| I took a scrap piece of foam and laid the frame on it, then traced and cut out the top and bottom of my coffin. I also cut out the center section of the top piece. | |
| When I cut out the
top and bottom I left a little extra. Using a rotary tool I routed out the section where the frame would fit in. I then painted both pieces orange. When that dried I gave it a good coat of stain hopeing to give it a wood look. |
|
| The lid is actually upside down. I took 3 more sections of the cases and trimmed away the edges. Then I glued them to the top. To hide where they meet I put in 2 sections of dowel rod. | |
| Here it is almost complete. I had an old nylon sack I cut that up to make the cushion and some curtains. The red is just a small piece of fabric I put some cotton batting into, rolled it up and hot glued it shut. I did the cushion the same way. The legs are from an old end table that fell apart. I glued them on and took 4 of those spider rings and glued them on to the legs. | |
| This is the tennant of my coffin. One of those Dollar Tree skeletons. I did some surgery on him then repainted and stained him. Well thats about it the finished pics are below. | |
